RoughRiders acquire defenseman in trade

The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders have acquired defenseman Michael Holland from the Chicago Steel in exchange for Tom Parisi, a defenseman on the Riders' affiliate list.
Holland is 6-foot-1 and 181 pounds and from Atkinson, N.H. and the The Hotchkiss School in Connecticut. He has played in 22 games for Chicago this season and has one assist and 41 penalty minutes. His plus-minus rating is minus-seven.
Parisi is playing for the New York Bobcats of the Junior B Atlantic Junior Hockey League, where he has six goals and 19 assists in 31 games.
The RoughRiders are down to six defenseman after Anthony DeAngelo broke his kneecap on an opponent's shot Friday night in Des Moines. It'll be interesting to see if defenseman Steven Hensley can return to the team. He has played in only 18 games because a torn labrum in his shoulder that required surgery.
Sunday was the trading deadline in the USHL.
