Several prep football games to start early due to weather concerns

Due to the severe weather expected to hit Eastern Iowa tonight, several high school football games are switching their starting times. Here is a list of what we have so far:

CEDAR RAPIDS WASHINGTON AT XAVIER: Varsity game will start at 5 p.m. Sophomore game has been postponed and will be rescheduled for Monday, Oct. 7 at 5 p.m. at Xavier HS. Saints Field Stadium will open at 4 p.m. today for ticket sales.

BENTON COMMUNITY AT MARION: Varsity game will start at 7 p.m. The freshmen game has been moved to Monday, Oct. 7 at 6:30 p.m. The Athletic Hall of Fame presentations will be at 6:30 tonight during the varsity game warm-ups.

UNION AT WAUKON: Varsity game will start at 7 p.m. The KCRG 9.2 broadcast of the game will start at 6:45.

REGINA AT ALBURNETT: Varsity game will start at 5:30 p.m.

DON BOSCO AT ROCKFORD: Varsity game will start at 5:30 p.m.

MESKWAKI AT ANKENY CHRISTIAN: Varsity game will start at 5:30 p.m.
