Early-morning Cedar Rapids fire displaces two

Firefighters are investigating an early-morning house fire.

The blaze started around 3 a.m. at 1739 Fourth Ave. SE.

We're told two people suffered possible smoke inhalation in the two-story house fire. They were not taken to the hospital.

Firefighters were able to contain the blaze to the kitchen.

The Red Cross is helping the woman and her son with a place to stay.

No cause of the fire at this time.
