Electrical pole falls on Iowa City apartment complex
Firefighters and police responded to the report of a mudslide that knocked a retaining wall into and electrical post at 725 Emerald Street Sunday afternoon.
The Iowa City Fire department said the wall may have slid down and knocked over the pole because of Sunday afternoon's heavy rain.
Upon arrival, officials discovered the electrical pole was knocked down, and leaning against the complex.
Mid America Energy personal were on scene as well.
Fire officials said the tenets were evacuated out of the building the pole hit.
