Post offices won't stay open late for tax day

April 15, 2010 is tax day and if you're scrambling to get those federal tax document filed, don't wait until the last minute to mail them out.
For those filing taxes using paper forms, post offices in Iowa City, Cedar Rapids and Coralville will not be open extended hours.
Though in past years doors may have remained open longer, post office workers said when the last truck goes out as scheduled, there won't be a chance to mail any more late at night before the deadline hits.
