Braley fights to protect benefits

An exciting Bruce Braley endorsement was announced - one that should interest Iowa workers of all ages.
The National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare has endorsed Braley as their choice in the Iowa Senate race.
This endorsement is not surprising as Braley has a strong history of fighting to protect Social Security and Medicare throughout his time in public office.
He has vehemently opposed privatization proposals that would gamble with the retirement security of working Americans - proposals his opponent, Joni Ernst, has repeatedly supported.
Not only would privatization plans jeopardize the security of retirement benefits by tying them to an unpredictable market, they would also increase costs, as Ernst has admitted herself.
Ernst's plans would change the lives of more than half a million Iowans who are currently receiving their hard-earned Social Security and Medicare benefits.
I would like to preserve the comfortable, stable retirement I have worked all my life to achieve.
Just another issue hardworking Iowan voters should keep in mind as they head to the polls in November.
