Big 12 about to hook up with the Yankee Bowl

The word from the New York Times today is that a proposed Yankee Bowl for New York's Yankee Stadium is close to becoming a reality, and that the 2010 game would pit teams from the Big 12 and Big East conferences.
“It's our intent to sign an agreement with them,” said Big 12 spokesman Bob Burda.
The game would match the seventh-place team from the Big 12 and the third- or fourth-place club from the Big East.
