Two arrested after armed robbery in Coralville

CORALVILLE - Two Iowa City men who face armed robbery charges remain in the Johnson County Jail after allegedly robbing a Coralville store Friday evening.
Police said Rogelio Escabar-Fernandez, 23, and Jose Jordan-Murcia, age unknown, entered Valparaiso Western Wear, 212 First Ave., shortly before midnight where they displayed a knife and threatened two store employees.
Money and merchandise were taken by the two men, according to criminal complaints.
Jordan-Murcia confessed to his involvement in the incident, police said.
Escabar-Fernandez and Jordan-Murcia are each charged with first-degree robbery and are being held in the Jail on $50,000 cash-only bonds.
