BBQ Roundup needs local vendors, no charge
The Gazette Opinion Staff

Why were local barbecue vendors shut out from the BBQ Roundup event? Has not the city of Cedar Rapids harped repeatedly about “buying local?” There should have been national and local vendors.
Also, who came up with the ridiculous idea of charging admission? I can understand a cover charge when there is a band that charges an expensive appearance fee, but come on.
Support your local barbecue restaurant.
