CEDAR RAPIDS - The building under construction in New Bohemia that was ravaged by a massive fire this summer has been officially listed as "undetermined" for two months, fire authorities said.
The three-story multi-use complex at 1113 Sixth St. SE named,“The Villages,” was projected to be completed this winter, until an early morning fire destroyed the building July 30.
At this point, all officials know is that the fire was believed to have originated on the second floor, said Greg Buelow, spokesman with the Cedar Rapids Fire Department.
Buelow said the cause will likely remain as officially undetermined unless any further information is uncovered.
