Documentary on gay bishop to premiere in Cedar Rapids July 12
In its first Iowa showing, the 83 minute documentary, "Love Free or Die" will be shown on July 12 at 7 P.M. at Christ Episcopal Church, 220 40th Street, NE in Cedar Rapids and is sponsored by local advocacy group, Faith in Iowa. The award-winning film recounts the journey of the first openly gay Episcopal bishop, Gene Robinson of New Hampshire, as he sought acceptance by his national and international fellow bishops and church members.
