The Central Park Community Center held their monthly meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 10, with seven members present. The meeting was conducted by President Barb Nelson, Nancy Kimmel read the minutes of the last meeting and they were approved. Bills were paid and the treasurer's report was read by treasurer Judy Gover.
The Center has looked into all possibilities of trying to find ways to keep it going - they have appreciated the gifts they received to help out. Anyone who wishes to contact them for further donations can call 319-461-5085 or 319-458-9613.
It was clarified during the meeting that a lot of people referred to the group as the Senior Center, but they wish to correct this - they are called Central Park Community Center as it's for all people. It can be rented for birthday parties, wedding showers, meetings and a variety of other functions and celebrations. It is currently being rented for Christmas parties. They have medical equipment for Public Health that can be used as well. Anyone is welcome to come visit, play cards, put puzzles together, read a book or just rest.
No more discussion was made and the meeting was adjured.
