A Sigourney man convicted of murder in Missouri this year was captured today after escaping from a northwest Missouri jail on Sunday.
Carlos Sarmiento, 57, and Timothy Baudour, 34, were caught this afternoon. A third escapee, Nicholas McCleary, 26, was arrested around noon today.
The three prisoners escaped out of the Daviess/Dekalb County jail Sunday night after crawling under a fence in the recreation area.
The Keokuk County Sheriff had warned residents that Sarmiento may return to the area. He was convicted last month of beating his roommate to death with a hammer.
