Republican states rank last for women’s health
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Sep. 8, 2012 1:17 pm
Here's some data from the Kaiser Family Foundation, Health magazine of the Guttmacher Institute, and the National Women's Law Institute (among several sources): As of July, the 10 worst states for women's health are, alphabetically: Arkansas, Idaho, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, West Virginia and Wyoming.
They are not all poor states. What they have in common is that they are all solidly Republican.
