Rich golfer not convincing
The Gazette Opinion Staff

So here we are again with another vote for another local-option sales tax.
Supporters now have golfer Zach Johnson in commercials. Does he even live in this community? If not, then the tax does not impact him. Hey, I am not saying Zach's a bad guy, but if he wants to do something good for our community, he would take off the Trans America hat he wears at golf outings and quit taking money they give him to wear it. Trans America is negatively impacting our community by outsourcing jobs. That's hypocrisy
The city has done what so far to protect us from floods? Trusting them is a bad idea. See through the facade of a rich golfer, company outsourcing jobs and last but not least the City Council trying to force another tax on us.
Here is a free tip: Use the money you already get wisely, protect the flood prone areas and quit making matters worse by building in said areas.
