Former DHS director joins Four Oaks staff

Former Department of Human Services Director Charlie Krogmeier has joined a Cedar Rapids-based nonprofit organization, officials announced today.
Krogmeier is the new director of policy initiatives at Four Oaks. He will help the organization expand its public-private partnerships. Four Oaks is a child welfare agency with programs throughout the state. The organization serves 14,000 people annually.
Krogmeier's experience includes time as the state's deputy attorney general, deputy secretary of state, director of the department of management, and the governor's chief of staff. Since leaving his post at the Department of Human Services, Krogmeier has also taken a position with a law firm in Cedar Rapids.
