Coralville inmate charged with throwing urine on officer

A convicted felon can forget about being marked down for good behavior after he allegedly threw a cup of urine at a correctional officer.
According to a criminal complaint, Andrew J. Cole, an inmate at the Iowa Medical and Classification Center in Coralville, was charged with inmate assault with bodily fluid after the incident Dec. 17. Cole admitted to urinating in a cup and throwing it on the officer, according to reports.
Cole is serving a five year prison sentence for several third-degree burglary charges and a probation violation in Linn County, according to Iowa court documents.
The inmate assault charge is a Class D felony with a maximum sentence of five years in prison and a $7,500 fine.
