Throwing snowballs is all fun and games until it is determined the snow is not the only thing contributing to the joy.
Iowa City police early Wednesday arrested a man after receiving a complaint of someone throwing snowballs at moving vehicles. The complainant identified 21-year-old Nathan J. Malmquist as the culprit.
According to police, the University of Iowa student admitted throwing the snowballs.
Police also say Malmquist had bloodshot, watery eyes, slurred speech, poor coordination and smelled strongly of alcohol. Authorities say Malmquist also showed signs of impairment and scored a .116 on his pre-arrest breathalyzer test.
Malmquist was charged with public intoxication, a misdemeanor.
