Driver killed in Jackson County rollover

A Baldwin man was killed in a crash in Jackson County Saturday morning.

According to Iowa State Patrol reports, Daniel Kidd, 19, of Baldwin, died after the crash a half-mile north of Iowa 64 on 82nd Avenue/Bear Creek Road.

Kidd was southbound on 82nd Avenue at 8:35 a.m. Saturday in a 1998 Dodge Ram pickup when it rolled and struck a utility pole, coming to rest on the passenger side, facing south.

Kidd was transported to Maquoketa Hospital by the Jackson County Medical Examiner. He wasn't wearing a seat belt, according to the State Patrol report.
