Ask library patrons what hours work best

To the editor:
I totally agree with Ron Moore's letter to the editor 'Library should consider other closure options,” published Jan. 14.
I think the board just proposed those new hours and days out of spite. I think they are trying to punish the public for not voting in the tax levy requesting additional moneys. The board members know that both libraries are used mostly on the weekends due to the fact that most people work during the week.
The board tried to say that they were trying to accommodate employees who prefer not to work on the weekends. Please. A large majority of those who work at the libraries work part-time.
Boards are big on surveys - take a survey. Ask those who patronize the library what hours would work best.
