DAVENPORT - T.J. White's sacrifice fly in the 11th inning provided the only run in the Cedar Rapids Kernels' 1-0 win over Quad Cities on Tuesday afternoon at Modern Woodmen Park.
Zack Larson led off the 11th with a single. Back-to-back errors on losing pitcher Joe Musgrove (3-1) loaded the bases. White the lofted a fly to right that scored Larson.
Jared Wilson, Randy LeBlanc, Cam Booser and Trevor Hildenberger combined for a nine-hit shutout. Wilson started and threw the first five innings.
Booser (1-0) got the win, throwing two scoreless innings. Hildenberger got his second save of the Midwest League season, pitching the bottom of the 11th and striking out one.
The win ended a three-game losing streak for the Kernels (12-7), who pulled within a game of QC for first place in the Western Division. The teams play again Wednesday night at 7:05.
