Welshhons, Glenn
Glenn Welshhons, 73, of Hiawatha, died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha after a short illness. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Selma; three sons, Steve and Keith, both of Cedar Rapids, and Brian of Florida; a daughter, Sherry, also of Florida; one brother, Gary of Arkansas; and two sisters, Marilyn of Wisconsin and Kay Anne of Louisiana.
He is also survived by a granddaughter, Amy.
He was preceded in death by a son, Craig; and three brothers.
Glenn was born on June 20, 1937, in Knoxville, the son of Gerald and Maxine Wahe Welshhons. He married Selma A. Benter on Feb. 15, 1964, in Cedar Rapids.
Glenn worked Wilson and Co. for over 20 years, later at Sears and most recently at Walmart. He enjoyed sports, especially the Hawkeyes.
He will be greatly missed.
