Letter: Electoral college should be preserved

On Sept. 17, 1787, our U.S. Constitution was born, framed by some real geniuses, a remarkable thing in those days.
Now, some people, like Barbara Boxer, would like to have the electoral college repealed. I wonder why? Could it be that California and New York have the most electoral votes and always vote for Democrats? Therefore, no Republican could ever win any election. No other states have a city with 8 million people.
Please leave our Constitution alone.
