Iowa's Angerer named finalist for Nagurski award

Iowa senior linebacker Pat Angerer is one of five finalists for the Bronco Nagurski Trophy, awarded annually to the nation's top defensive player.
Angerer has 119 tackles this season for the 15th-ranked Hawkeyes, who close out the regular season by hosting Minnesota on Saturday.
The Nagurski Trophy is awarded by the Football Writers Association of America, which announced the finalists Thursday.
Tennessee strong safety Eric Berry, Alabama defensive tackle Terrence Cody, TCU defensive end Jerry Hughes and Nebraska defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh are the other finalists.
The winner will be announced Dec. 7 at a banquet in Charlotte, N.C.
