Waterloo East tops Xavier on the road: Boys Highschool Basketball Roundup

Adam McDermott had 19 points, including four 3-pointers, and Calvin Winker had a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds to lead Xavier to a 69-41 win over Waterloo East at Xavier.
The Saints outscored East in the second half, 42-15.
Leighton Nash led Waterloo East with eight points.
LINN-MAR 68, DUBUQUE WAHLERT 60 - No. 8 Linn-Mar stormed back after trailing by 15 at half to beat No. 3 (3A) Wahlert in Dubuque. Nic Uhlir led Linn-Mar (10-3) with 20 points and Jordan Bohannon and Jordan Brandt had 14 points apiece.
IOWA CITY WEST 69, DUBUQUE SENIOR 55 - Tanner Lohaus scored 20 points to lead four players in double-figure scoring as top-ranked Iowa City West (13-0, 9-0 MVC) overcame a halftime deficit at home. David DiLeo added 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Devontae Lane scored 13 points and Connor McCaffery chipped in 11 points for the Trojans.

MAQUOKETA VALLEY 48, CVC 38 - Zach Salow scored 22 points to lead Maquoketa Valley to the win in Delhi.
Mike Scroggs scored 13 points and Tom Scroggs added eight points for Cedar Valley Christian. Travis Geels chipped in five points and grabbed 11 rebounds and four steals for the Huskies.
MARION 56, SOUTH TAMA 40 - The Indians improved to a 10-3 overall record in a win at home.
C.R. PRAIRIE 72, WATERLOO WEST 62 - Prairie overcame a turnover-plagued second quarter and a 36-27 halftime deficit to edge the Wahawks at home. Cal Clark and Mitch Lorenz scored 14 points apiece for Prairie (6-7). Ben Boldt and Max Drahos scored 12 and 10 points respectively.
Six-foot-6 senior Lincoln Conrey had 18 points for West.
C.R. KENNEDY 74, CEDAR FALLS 61 - The Cougars bounced back from a loss Tuesday to post a 13-point win last night in Cedar Falls.
Kennedy improved to 9-4.
DUBUQUE HEMPSTEAD 67, IOWA CITY HIGH 60 - The Mustangs won their sixth game in a row, topping the Little Hawks in Iowa City.
Nile Ringen 20 points for City (6-7). Hempstead is 9-1.
