No one was injured after a pickup caught fire on Interstate 380 Tuesday morning.
Emergency crews responded to the southbound lane of I-380 at the 8 mile marker around 10 a.m. for a report of a vehicle on fire.
Upon arrival, emergency crews found the pickup fully engulfed in flames. Police said the man driving the truck heard a “loud bang” come from the front of his vehicle, coaxing him to pull the vehicle over. Minutes later, the vehicle was fully engulfed.
Police said the man was not injured in the blaze and he was the only person involved in the incident. They added the cause of the fire was unknown and will likely be difficult to determine due to the damage the fire did to the truck.
