Nowell, Audrey
Audrey Nowell, 72, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center. Services: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, by the Rev. Laura Smith of Kenwood United Methodist Church. Interment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m.
Survivors include her children, Paulette Brown of Oceanside, Calif.,, Philip (Rosanna) Nowell of Quincy, Ill., Terry Nowell of Monticello, Kevin Nowell, Steven Nowell, and Dennis (Holly) Nowell, all of Cedar Rapids; brother, Glen Tabor of Hot Springs, Ark.; sister, Darlene Wray of Lenora, Kan.; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three brothers.
Audrey was born Jan. 1, 1938, in Austin, Minn., to Kenneth and Ruby Tabor. She married Paul Nowell there on Feb. 4, 1955. He died in 1988. She liked making crafts, bowling, camping and fishing. Audrey's greatest pleasure was being with her family. Audrey was a member of Kenwood Park United Methodist Church.
