Good behavior goes a long way
The Gazette Opinion Staff

When will the raging political screamers and media take a breather and consider that there are many of us who cannot support the “behavior” of some people, even our own? The “average rational American” has no voice in today's media coverage unless he, or she, supports social anarchy.
There are reasons why prison populations house a disproportionate number of minority members. They commit more crimes.
There are reasons why the death toll is so high among certain minorities. Because too many of them have no employable skills and enter a life of crime resulting in the deaths of their own people.
And why is the unemployment rate so high among minorities? Because too many drop out of school, have no education and little incentive to learn.
My life has been devoted to mentoring, employing and supporting minority youths who now lead successful lives despite their “leaders” telling them they would never succeed because of the “white man's discrimination.” Such leadership is destructive and burdened with too many “false prophets” who profit at the expense of their own people.
These activists have to realize they are seriously discouraging those of us who provide the opportunities and support for their youths who demonstrate the qualities of good behavior, hard work, and open minds in the workplace and everyday life.
Good behavior on everyone's part goes a long way toward positive relationships and solutions. Try it; it might even work.
