Iowa regents transparency task force will have first hearing April 17

The transparency task force of the state Board of Regents will hold several public hearings around the state in the coming weeks, including in the Des Moines area, Muscatine, Council Bluffs and Dubuque.
The first of those public hearings has been scheduled for 6 to 7:30 p.m. April 17 in room 226 at Johnston High School in Johnston. The hearing also will be available at some ICN locations around the state.
Dates and ICN locations for the public hearings in Council Bluffs, Muscatine and Dubuque will
be announced next week, and additional public hearings may be scheduled as determined by the task force.
The task force will make recommendations to the board of regents regarding transparency at the regents and the state's three public universities and two special schools.
