Former resident happy to be back

To the editor:

I recently moved back to my home state of Iowa after a decade in Kansas.

I wish to commend local governmental officials on the stellar performance of their staff.

Getting an Iowa drivers license was easy, and getting Iowa plates was quick and painless.

In all cases, I have found the customer service at Linn County and the City of Cedar Rapids to be exemplary.

Many thanks to our public servants. It sure is good to be home!
