POOR SPORT: A Solon man stands accused of writing threatening letters accusing Regina High School football coaches of providing players with performance-enhancing drugs. Regina officials turned the letters over to police, who say there is no evidence to support the claim. The apparent hoaxter has been charged with simple-misdemeanor harassment and interference with official acts.

CAUGHT ON TAPE: The Iowa City school district will install video cameras to help catch motorists who pass school buses while stop-arms are deployed. Nearly two dozen Iowa school districts have had to make similar investments to help them report and prosecute these dangerous drivers.
