Kernels-Beloit game suspended

CEDAR RAPIDS - The Cedar Rapids Kernels had their game Thursday night with the Beloit Snappers at Veterans Memorial Stadium suspended by rain.

The game will resume at 5 p.m. Friday. Beloit is ahead, 2-1, after scoring a run in the top of the first and another in the third.

Cedar Rapids scored in the second on an Andy Workman one-out single and ensuing Chevy Clarke hit-and-run double to left.
