Keenan Davis will wear #6 for the Hawkeyes

Just talked to the incoming Iowa freshman wide receiver from Cedar Rapids Washington for a story regarding our Athlete of the Year. He said Iowa is giving him jersey #6 to wear.
I think we all remember another former Iowa prep who starred as a wide receiver at Iowa and who wore #6. He ended up playing in the NFL for a few years. I'll let you guess who it is.
Another thing about Keenan. Don't look for any tattoos. He's not doing that.
"He made a promise to his great-grandmother," his mom, Caryn Davis, said.
Iowa starts camp Thursday morning, by the way.
