Dropping his pants got a Cedar Rapids man in trouble with police last week.
Cody K. Elson, 20, of Cedar Rapids, was cited by police for public nudity on Oct. 18 for allegedly mooning people who complained about his driving at a mobile home court.
Witnesses at Lindale Manor, 400 Lindale Dr., said Elson was going backward and spinning out in his car.
One of the residents confronted Elson, concerned about the safety of children nearby.
“He kicked the fence and kicked a garbage can,” Marion police Lt. Steve Etzel said. “Then he walked back to his car and dropped his drawers.”
Officers stopped Elson as he was leaving the mobile home court and, after talking with witnesses, wrote him a ticket. The public nudity charge is a simple misdemeanor, punishable by up to 30 days in jail and a $500 fine.
Elson has a court date set for Nov. 10.
