A challenge to all elected officials
N/A
Nov. 14, 2010 11:39 pm
I challenge all politicians/officials who were elected Nov. 2 to find an impartial volunteer who will maintain a checklist that will be aired the next time you run for office. It should, at a minimum, include:
-- What you did in office and why you did it.
--l What became of your campaign promises.
-- Why you pushed some issues to the front and some to the back.
Also: All campaigning in 2012 and 2014 will be positive and focus on only what you will be contributing to the community and how you will do it!
Any negative campaign will result in a penalty: For every second of name-calling or bashing an opponent, the ad placer or the one “who approved this message” should pay a penalty of $1,000 to a local charity!
Why not? Someone who has a “Big-Brother-is-watching-you” fetish made a crazy decision to put traffic cameras all around our city, so I should be allowed to make a crazy decision and demand penalties in 2012 because “Lil' sister is watching, too!”
My challenge to people reading this is posted on my Facebook page.
