Dennis R. Finder, 80, of Fort Myers, Fla., formerly of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died suddenly Sunday, April 25, 2021, in Fort Myers. Memorial services: 2 p.m. Sunday, May 2, 2021, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids, with a visitation following the ceremony until 4 p.m. All guests are respectfully requested to wear a mask and practice social distancing. Dennis was born on Oct. 21, 1940, in Oelwein, Iowa, the son of Leonard and Delight (Frederick) Finder. He graduated from Quasqueton High School. Dennis worked for Armstrong's and Killian's department stores. He was the assistant manager of displays at Armstrong's for 20 years and took great pride in decorating the Christmas windows. Dennis loved the beach and shelling at Sanibel Island. He cherished every moment with his family and his partner of 32 years.

Survivors include his partner of 32 years, Hank Aubey; children, Lori (Lyle) Hanson, Lynnette (Randy) Merta and Lesley Finder; grandchildren, Christopher (Jordan) Hanson, Chase Hanson and Marcus Robinson; great-grandchildren, Claire Hanson and Ellias Tamoglia-Robinson; grandpuppies, Bailey and Cynder; brother, Gary (Jeannie) Finder; the loving mother of their children, Sharon Huston; many nieces and a nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Delight Finder.
