Wyoming was a popular upset pick in Week 1, with Iowa favored by 11.5 points earlier this week, but the Hawkeyes ultimately produced a comfortable 24-3 victory in the season opener at Kinnick Stadium.
Now is your time to evaulate the Hawkeyes' performance.
Offense
With sophomore Nate Stanley starting his first game at quarterback, Iowa turned it over four times -- three fumbles and a Stanley pick. But Stanley, who completed 8 of 15, also threw three touchdown passes -- two to tight end Noah Fant and the third to Iowa Western transfer Nick Easley -- and that was plenty on this day.
Akrum Wadley rushed for 116 yards on 24 carries (4.8), while Nevada graduate transfer James Butler had 47 yards on 10 attempts in his Hawkeye debut.
The Hawkeyes finished with just 263 total yards (4.7 per play), but dealt with a jumbled offensive line. Keegan Render filled in for James Daniels at center and Alaric Jackson and Ross Reynolds also had increased roles.

Defense
Wyoming QB Josh Allen has been hyped as a possible top-five NFL Draft pick and he showed why with arm strength and elusiveness Saturday. But Iowa's defense never allowed him to get comfortable and he finished 23 of 40 for 174 yards, no touchdowns and two picks (Josh Jackson and Brady Reiff).
The Cowboys gained 3.3 yards per play and did not score a touchdown for the first time since 2003.

Special teams
After winning the kicking job in camp, Miguel Recinos converted his only field goal attempt of the day from 44 yards.
The most GIF-able play from this game came at the expense of Wyoming punter Tim Zaleski, who whiffed on a second-quarter punt. On the next play, Stanley found Fant to put Iowa up 14-3 at halftime.
