CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) - A picture taken by a cell phone camera could help police nab burglars who broke into a Verizon Wireless store in Cedar Rapids.
The Cedar Rapids Police Department said that two burglars were seen on Wednesday morning at about 7:05 a.m. exiting the store through a broken front window, getting into a white vehicle in the parking lot and taking off with 11 cell phones and electronic touch pads.
No license plate number was recorded.
A witness used a cell phone to capture a photo of the get-away car, which police distributed to the public on Wednesday afternoon along with a description of the suspects.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Linn County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-272-7463.
