Overton, M. Ruth
M. Ruth Overton, 98, of Dysart, died Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 13, at the Dysart United Methodist Church, with burial to follow in the Dysart Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Overton Funeral Home in Dysart.
She is survived by two sons, Lee (Marlene) Overton of Hiawatha, and Steve (Sharleen) Overton of Vinton; a daughter-in-law, Denise Overton of Traer; nine grandchildren, Mark (Kathy) Overton, Diane (Jeff) Hanft, Ann Overton, Mary (Mike) Symmonds, Shawn (Cherie) Overton, Stacey (Becky) Overton, Stuart (Pam) Overton, Blair (Whitney) Overton and Brent (Rachael) Overton; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
