Mount Mercy names Lisa Lafler assistant vice president for communications and marketing

Mount Mercy University has named Lisa Lafler assistant vice president for communications and marketing. Lafler is a 1993 graduate of Mount Mercy.
As the assistant vice president for communications and marketing, Lafler will lead Mount Mercy's Office of Communications & Marketing in communications, marketing and public relations efforts. She was previously the marketing and public relations director for Horizons, A Family Service Alliance in Cedar Rapids.
Lafler brings over 20 years of experience in marketing and management to her new position. She has held positions with Aegon as a senior project manager, Principal Financial Group as a senior project manager, and Hy-Vee Food Stores as an assistant manager.
She is a member of Rotary West Cedar Rapids, in which she serves as a board member and public relations committee chair. She is a 2007 graduate of Leadership for Five Seasons and serves on various committees and advisory boards in the community, including the Community Communications Coalition (C-3), Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance Development Committee, and United Way Marketing Advisory Committee.
