Clarence Stephen Spoden, 82, of Cold Spring, Minn., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, July
15, 2014, at his home surrounded by family.
Clarence was born in Rockville, Minn., to Joseph and Winifred (Fink) Spoden. He married Joan Fiereck on May 21, 1960. Sputz served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. He worked at Universal Engineering for 43 years before retiring to his lake home in Minnesota.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Joan; children, Jeffrey (Marty), Daniel (Shirley), Ronald (Nancy), Lynne (Jeff) Twedt, Sharon (Tony) Ugulini and Karin (Pierre) Kisting; 11 grandchildren; three brothers and a sister.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
Arrangements are with Wenner Funeral Home, Cold Spring, Minn.
