About 13 hours after releasing a surveillance photo of a suspected tool thief to the media, Cedar Rapids police had their man.
Robert S. Glubka, 46, of 2200 Deborah Dr. SW, was arrested around 11 p.m. Thursday in the 3800 block of Yellow Pine Court NE on suspicion of fifth-degree theft. He also had a warrant out for his arrest stemming from a third-degree theft charge out of Johnson County, authorities said.
Glubka is accused of taking a circular saw and drill bits valued at $143 from Acme Tools, 1943 Blairs Ferry Rd. NE, on March 22.
Sgt. Cristy Hamblin said three tips were received through the Linn County Crime Stoppers hotline. The tips, along with other information gathered during the investigation, led them to Glubka. He was taken to the Linn County Jail.
