Darice Keating, President of State Services for Pearson (pictured right), presented Foundation Board President Greg Erenberger with a check for $4,000 in support of the Prairie School Foundation. Pearson supports education globally and locally by giving to local school districts in which its employees live and work. Pearson is the 3rd largest private employer in the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids Corridor. As an education and technology company, Pearson recognizes the importance of supporting the local school districts and is committed to education for all.
The Prairie School Foundation was established in 1981 and its mission is to provide resources to enhance the high-quality educational experience for all Prairie students. Gifts to the Foundation provide a crucial source of support for academic initiatives. Since 2005 the Foundation has distributed $120,000 to our schools. The stronger the Foundation, the better equipped the District is to provide an excellent educational environment for all Prairie students.
