By Lora Raymon: 9.11 is a vivid memory, as I'm sure it is for many of U.S., a heartbreaking moment that will forever, bring tears to my eyes.
I was standing in front of the television at work with a couple of co-workers watching after the first plane hit. I remember saying, "Wow something must have happened, the plane must have been off course or the pilot had a heart attack." We watched a while longer, shocked, and then went back to our desks.
Walking by the TV again a few moments later, I saw the second one hit; my heart sank and at that point questioned if the first plane was pilot error or a heart attack. As the news went out in the building, many people were surrounding the television, watching in horror what had just happened. It was like a wave of voices, saying, "I can't believe this is happening."
I went home and found myself glued to the television, I couldn't shut it off, tears would roll down my face, then anger set it, exhaustion; and then it would repeat starting with tears. Finally my husband said, "You need to shut it off, go outside, I'm sure President Bush and his administration already have a plan."
President Bush and his administration, deserve more respect and thanks for their quick response to this devastating event.
