Genova sells health care business to Booz Allen Hamilton

Cedar Rapids-based Genova Technologies Inc. sold the assets of its health care division in Baltimore to Booz Allen Hamilton.

Genova's health care division provides IT solutions and strategies for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

'I'm pleased to find such a good business and cultural fit for our health care division,” Dawn Ainger, CEO of Genova Technologies Inc., said in a news release. 'This is a good fit for both Genova and Booz Allen Hamilton and will collectively serve the customer base well.”

All of the Genova health care IT personnel will transition to Booz Allen Hamilton.

Genova will continue to operate its defense and commercial business based in Cedar Rapids. Scott Stimart, vice president and general manager of Genova's defense and commercial business sectors, has been named president of Genova.

Virginia-based Booz Allen Hamilton is a management and technology consulting firm.
