Wallace, Kathryn A.

Kathryn A. Wallace, 88, of Marion, formerly of Clarence, died Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at Hiawatha Care Center, Hiawatha. Memorial services: 1 p.m. Saturday, May 25, at Clarence Methodist Church, Clarence, by Pastor Barbara Krueger. Burial: Clarence Cemetery. Visitation: noon until service time Saturday at the church.

Born May 29, 1924, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, she was the daughter of Harry H. and Ruth (Berryhill) Crist.

Kathryn was a Cedar County 4-H leader, a 10-year employee at Iowa Electric, and a 20-year volunteer at the St. Luke's Foundation.

Survivors include daughters, Jane (Buzz) Olson of Surprise, Ariz., and Jennifer (Peter) Meyer of Oyster Bay, N.Y.; sister, Virginia (Russell) Buchanan of Algona; grandchildren, Justin Ruch, Amanda Meyer, Griffin Meyer and Nicholas Meyer; and two great-grandchildren, Brayden and Brielle Ruch.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Kenneth Crist; and sister, Barbara Meyer.
