I've heard a lot of fans identify themselves as the best. They often seem to believe it.
I've heard a lot of people identify their fans as the best. They often seem to be pandering.
The best fans in the country and even the world are everywhere, it appears. These things were said within the last month, and can easily be verified by a Google search:
“I think we have the best fans in the country when you talk about tradition." -- Arkansas men's assistant basketball coach T.J. Cleveland
"Our fans are the best fans in the country." -- Louisiana-Lafayette co-softball coach Michael Lotief
“We have the best fans in the country." -- Southern Mississippi pitcher Todd McInnis
"They're the best fans in the world." -- former Maryland basketball center Jordan Williams on Terrapins fans
"I just want to say that I have the best fans in the world." -- boxer Glen Johnson
"I have the best fans in the business." -- boxer Ryan Coyne
"We've got the greatest fans in the world." -- Gibbs High (Corryton, Tenn.) baseball coach Geff Davis
"New York has the best fans in the world." -- Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira
"We have the greatest fans anywhere." -- Simon Watson, Missouri Mavericks hockey team
"I have the best fans in the world” - singer Miley Cyrus
”I have the greatest fans in the world." -- actress Sarah Michelle Gellar
"We've got the greatest fans in the world" - Gary LeVox of country band Rascal Flatts
"I have the best fans in the world." -- singer George Michael
"I have the greatest fans in the world." -- singer Justin Bieber
My questions for you good people:
1. Are you among the greatest fans in the world?
2. Are some of the aforementioned people exaggerating just a bit?
