Naber becomes second Blazer to win Wamac

Dyersville Beckman's Tony Naber became just the second Blazer to win a Wamac Conference title with a solid 7-1 victory over West Delaware's P.C. McEnany in the 125-pound final Saturday at Benton Community in Van Horne.
Matt Heims won the 145-pound title in 2006 for Beckman.
Naber wasn't seeded in the top three but advanced to the final when Western Dubuque's Jim Gotto, ranked third in 3A, injury defaulted. Naber, the school record holder for wins in a season (37 in 2008-09) had a pin and major decision in the tournament while improving to 30-6.
