Andersen, Maxine
Maxine Andersen, 88, of Independence, died Friday, Dec. 18, 2009, at the La Porte City Nursing and Rehab Center in La Porte City following a short illness. She was born on July 1, 1921, in Mount Auburn, Iowa.
Mrs. Andersen is survived by her daughter, Carol (Wayne) Hilliard of Brandon; and her sons, Don (Cheryl Scott) Andersen of Walker, and Joe (Zelda) Andersen of Independence.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Independence with Pastor Tom Jones officiating. Music will be provided by Mrs. Duane Gray, organist. Burial will be in the Rowley Cemetery in Rowley. Friends may call for visitation from 1 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at
