BETTENDORF 11, C.R. WASHINGTON 6 - Ryker Fox has four hits as the Bulldogs improved to 9-0 with a road victory. Chad Christensen hit two home runs - including a grand slam - and had five RBIs to lead the Warriors (8-4). Derek Giesking added a solo home run for the Warriors.
CLINTON 9, LINN-MAR 8 - Tyler Voss had four hits and three RBIs to lead the River Kings to a non-conference road victory. Mich Mahmens had two hits, and Aaron Hunter added a three-run triple for the Lions (5-6).
WEST DES MOINES Valley 7, Iowa City West 6 - Sean Moore hit a triple and a home run with two RBIs, and Josh DeBoer and Eric White each had two hits and an RBI for the Trojans.
Iowa City West 13, COUNCIL BLUFFS Lewis Central 1 (5) - Sean Moore went 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI, and David Rachke struck out six in four innings for Iowa City West (6-9).
MARION 7, DE WITT CENTRAL 4 - Dalton Combs hit a home run in the second inning and Austin Weisinger had three hits to lead the Indians to the WaMaC victory. Cale Cannoy struck out six in a complete-game effort to get the pitching win. Greg Oldsen hit a solo home run for the Sabers.
DE WITT CENTRAL 9, MARION 8 - Matt Barnd and Dusty Albaugh each hit a home run for Marion (5-7, 4-1 WaMaC), but DeWitt Central (12-3) scored seven runs off seven Indian walks in the fifth inning to take the nonconference victory.
SOLON 14, CENTER POINT-URBANA 0 (5; 1st game) - Ben Weeks, Cody Strang, Shawn Olson, and Nick Day each had two hits as Solon pounded out 16 and improved to 7-0 in the WaMaC. Weeks drove in three, and Strang drove in a pair and hit a home run.
SOLON 14, CENTER POINT-URBANA 0 (5; 2nd game) - Cody Strang went 3-for-3 with a home run and three RBI to lead the Spartans (11-3). Derrick Loveless and Zach May each added two hits for Solon at Center Point-Urbana.
C.R. JEFFERSON 7, DAVENPORT WEST 5 - Bailey Hollingsworth, Jason McCormick and Matt Beer had two hits apiece as Jefferson (9-4) won a non-conference game. Hollingsworth drove in two, and McCormick scored twice.
